Install Google Docs MCP (official remote)

Choose your AI client and copy the config.

Remote MCP — add to claude_desktop_config.json (or Connectors). Clients without native remote support can use the mcp-remote bridge below. Setup guide

  "mcpServers": {
    "google-docs": {
      "url": "https://docsmcp.googleapis.com/mcp/v1"
    }
  }
}

stdio bridge (mcp-remote):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "google-docs": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "mcp-remote",
        "https://docsmcp.googleapis.com/mcp/v1"
      ]
    }
  }
}
Before you install: Remote endpoint taken from the vendor's public MCP documentation. Complete the vendor OAuth flow on first connect. Prefer the Streamable HTTP URL; use mcp-remote only if your client is stdio-only.

Tools (2)

Tool names as listed in Google's docs (checked Oct 15, 2026). Some may need sign-in, an API key or opt-in, and vendors change them — your client shows the live list after connecting.
